Labour seize control of by-election blog site

Hartlepool Labour party seem to have hi-jacked the Hartlepool by-election blog site Guacamoleville and have proceeded to post nothing but official Labour Party press releases, attacking the Liberal Democrat candidate.

A source close to the Labour campaign is reporting that this action was undertaken because of the problems the party are having with their own website, which seems to be off-line most of the time.

It seems that Guacamoleville was targeted for bringing these website problems to the attention of its readers at the end of this recent article.

By-elections blogspot would like to pass on our best wishes to Guacamoleville for a speedy recovery from this invasion of its blog space and hope that normal service will be resumed shortly.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing, around the time every Labour smear about Jody Dunn was front and centre and the reports of some anti-social behaviour from Labour's candidate were rather glossed over.

Care to identify any smears Nick? Or is this just part of a LibDem abuse instead of rebuttal campaign?

How about this for Labour's carelessness with the facts - first they claim Jody Dunn was off to Lib Dem conference for a week, then for a couple of days, then for a bit more than a day ... all three can't be true at the same time. So which press releases has Labour retracted and admitted were wrong ... ?
